Brand questions, answered.
Ten questions we hear most about logo design and brand identity in Canada.
How much does a logo cost in Canada?
Logo design in Canada typically costs between $150 and $3,500 CAD depending on the designer and scope. Solo freelancers usually charge $300–$1,200, established designers and small studios charge $1,500–$3,500, and senior boutique studios charge $5,000+. VibeCode Canada's logo design (The Mark) starts at $377 CAD and includes primary mark, secondary variants, SVG/PNG/favicon exports, light and dark versions, and two revision rounds.
What is a brand system versus just a logo?
A logo is a single mark — your visual signature. A brand system is the full set of rules and assets that show how to use that logo well: typography pairing, color palette with accessibility checks, voice and tone guidelines, social asset templates, and a brand guidelines PDF. A brand system prevents your visual identity from drifting every time someone new makes a graphic. VibeCode Canada's Brand System starts at $747 CAD.
Does VibeCode Canada design logos for businesses outside Ontario?
Yes. VibeCode Canada provides logo design and brand identity services to small businesses across all 10 Canadian provinces and 3 territories. Work is delivered remotely with file handoff via Figma and PDF, so a client in St. John's, Whitehorse, or Vancouver gets the same process as one in Toronto. Pricing is in CAD.
How long does a logo design take?
VibeCode Canada's logo design (The Mark) typically takes 5–10 business days from discovery call to final files. A Brand System runs 2–3 weeks, and a Full Identity engagement is 4–6 weeks. Timelines depend on revision rounds — two are included, additional rounds extend the schedule by 3–5 days each.
What file formats do I receive with my logo?
Every VibeCode Canada logo package includes vector SVG (infinitely scalable for any application), high-resolution PNG (transparent background, multiple sizes), favicon (16×16, 32×32, 180×180 for iOS), and both light and dark theme versions. EPS and AI source files are available on request.
Do you offer rebranding services or just new logos?
Both. New brand work and rebranding follow the same tier structure. Rebranding includes a brand audit of existing materials to identify what's working and what needs to change, plus a migration plan for rolling out the new identity across website, social, and print. Rebranding engagements typically land in the Brand System or Full Identity tier.
What's included in a Full Identity package?
VibeCode Canada's Full Identity ($1,347 CAD) includes everything in the Brand System tier plus a voice and messaging framework (tagline, value proposition, tone-of-voice rules), editable templates for decks, documents and email, photography and illustration direction, and a launch asset package for announcing the new brand.
Can VibeCode Canada match an existing brand style if I already have a logo?
Yes. If you have a logo but no brand system, VibeCode Canada can build the system around it — typography pairing, color palette extension, guidelines documentation, and asset templates. This is typically scoped as a partial Brand System engagement and quoted on a discovery call.
Do I own the logo and brand assets when the project is finished?
Yes. Full ownership transfers on final delivery and payment, including commercial use rights and the source files. VibeCode Canada retains no rights to use client work without permission. Clients can register their wordmark or logo as a trademark with CIPO (the Canadian Intellectual Property Office) using the delivered files.
What's the difference between The Mark and Brand System tiers?
The Mark ($377 CAD) is logo-only — primary mark, variants, exports. Brand System ($747 CAD) adds the system around the logo: color palette with accessibility checks, typography pairing and scale, brand guidelines PDF, and a social profile asset pack. Choose The Mark if you only need a logo; choose Brand System if you want a complete visual identity your team can apply consistently.
